Live illustration creates an interactive experience where guests become part of the artistic process. Charlotte's artist station becomes a charming focal point where each guest receives a personalized A5 artwork—either a portrait or full-body illustration—created with quick, elegant lines. How much does it cost and what's included?

My live illustration service starts at €500 (exclusive of 21% VAT) for events up to 2 hours. This includes all art supplies, professional setup, and individual A5 illustrations for your guests. For longer events, additional hours are €225 each. Setup, breakdown time and materials are included.

How many guests can you illustrate?

​

I can complete 6-12 individual illustrations per hour, focusing on quality while maintaining good flow at your event. Each piece takes approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on whether you choose portraits or full-body illustrations for your event, and whether guests are drawn individually or together as couples or groups.

What if we have more guests than expected?

​

For larger gatherings, I can photograph additional guests and complete their illustrations from my studio afterward. These are delivered in envelopes, ready for posting. I can also arrange a second illustrator through my network for extensive guest lists.

What do you need on the day?

​

I'll arrive early to set up before your guests arrive. All I need is a small table and a chair for the sitter(s) and myself in a well-lit area, ideally with space to display the finished illustrations for guests to see. I bring all my own materials including watercolour markers and A5 fine art paper.

Do you travel for events?

​

Absolutely. I'm based in Amsterdam and available for celebrations throughout the Netherlands and beyond. Whether it's an intimate countryside wedding, elegant soirée, or corporate event,

Can you customize the illustrations to match our event?

 

Yes, I can incorporate your event's color palette and aesthetic while maintaining my distinctive artistic style. The paper can also be personalised with logos, names, dates, or special design elements.

What's the difference between portraits and full-body illustrations?

You choose one style for your entire event to maintain consistency. Portraits focus on capturing facial features, while full-body illustrations show guests' complete outfits. Both are equally beautiful—it depends on your event's mood and what you think your guests would prefer.

How does the process work on the day?

I typically work with guests as live models—they sit for portraits or stand for full-body illustrations while I create their artwork in real-time. This creates a wonderful interactive moment where guests can watch their illustration come to life. If guests can't pose (for instance, during ceremony moments), I can work from photographs instead. Each finished piece becomes a personal keepsake from your event.

Of course! Guests love sharing their personalised artwork on social media, which creates wonderful organic promotion for your event. I'm also happy to share photos of the artistic process if you'd like.
